Class Descriptions
Yoga class titles can be a bit mind boggling so below is a description of the classes I teach.
Yoga Classes
Hatha Flow
This class incorporates breathing techniques (pranayama), dynamic movements, yoga poses to challenge, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body always ending with a relaxing meditation.
Slow Flow
In the flow classes, your movement is synchronised to your breath to create a flow through a sequence of postures. A slow paced class, this practice is designed to move your body in a way that feels good, leaving you feeling calm and balanced. This class has a slightly longer relaxation which is often a guided visualisation.
Yin/Yang Yoga
A mixture of movement and stillness. This class allows you to stretch your body and relax your mind. Includes pranayama(breathing techniques) approx 20 mins of gentle flowing movement and 30 mins of Yin postures and a slightly longer relaxation.
Yin works deeply into the body with passive, longer-held poses typically for 2-5 minutes. Yin yoga can increase flexibility, improve joint mobility and release tension in the fascia.
Beginners Yoga
This class is suitable for absolute beginners, those wishing to brush up on the basics or those that are coming back to yoga after a break.
Each week we’ll gently warm up before focusing on a basic yoga pose and/or transition between poses. Class will also include pranayama and relaxation.
