What is Yoga
Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices that are designed to promote health and wellbeing. Yoga involves moving the body into different poses, practising different breathing techniques and meditations which are either designed to calm and relax the body and mind or invigorate it and give it more energy.
Yoga has many psychological and physical benefits such as increasing energy levels, boosting self esteem, aiding sleep and improving balance to list just a few. By using physical poses yoga generates strength and flexibility and also drives energy into all areas of the body. This removes any built up tension and enables us to cope with the stresses of everyday life.
